(Oblong) — Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, took to social media yesterday to remind the public to look out during harvest season. Fielder says it’s important to take your time and pay attention to the larger equipment that will be sharing our roadways during the weeks ahead. She says Mont Eagle Mills in Oblong can see up to a hundred trucks per day during harvest season. Motorists are reminded to slow down, pay attention, and everyone will make it home alive. Governor, JB Pritzker, has proclaimed September 21st to September 27th as “Farm Safety and Health Week” in Illinois, with a theme of “Safety First, Avoid the Worst.”
