Red Cross Needs Blood Donors

(Undated) — We’re well into September, and the American Red Cross is still looking for blood donors. Sharon Watson, Red Cross spokesperson, says the summer months are usually a slower time for donations, and even now, as summer is wrapping up, the need remains. Watson reminds donors that “Type O” can be used when a patient’s blood type is unknown, so that type is of particular need. However, all blood types are needed. If you want to donate blood, you can find information on where and how to do so at RedCrossBlood.org, or you can download the free Red Cross app, which uses your location to allow you to find the nearest donation center.
