(Robinson) — The RHS Maroons came up short last night in Newton, 24-21. RHS QB, Reese Johnson, completed eleven of seventeen pass attempts for 100 yards. He also rushed for one hundred thirty-eight yards on twenty-one carries for the Maroons en route to the loss. With the loss, the Maroons fall back below .500 at 3-4 overall, 2-3 in the LIC. RHS will be back at home for Week 8 when they host the Paris Tigers at Crosby Field. Elsewhere last night, the Oblong Panthers secured a lopsided Homecoming win over Palestine/Hutsonville, 54-16. Oblong will be back in action Friday for a road game at Martinsville. Pal/Hut is set to be back in action Friday for a home game against South Fork.
