Rilo Kiley have announced their first UK show in 19 years – check out all the information below.

The band, made up of Jenny Lewis, Blake Sennett, Jason Boesel, and Pierre “Duke” de Reeder are set to return to the UK stage for the first time next year in London.

The band will perform at London’s Roundhouse on June 2, making the first UK appearance of the reunion tour that has been playing across the US.

Tickets for the show will go on sale on October 24 at 10 am here, with a pre-sale available from October 22 by signing up here.

Lewis and co. have been playing the ‘Sometimes When You’re On, You’re Really Fucking On Tour’ in the US this year, their first extended run of shows since 2008, although they did play a one-off gig for a livestream benefit in 2021.

For their final date in the US at the weekend (October 18), at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, and Waxahatchee – aka Katie Crutchfield – performed with the band. She’d also served as the opening act for the night and has declared herself a superfan of the group in the past.

Jenny Lewis told NME in 2019 that she was open to getting the band back together, and then in 2023, the singer spoke to NME again about the prospect of a Rilo Kiley reunion, dismissing immediate hopes by saying: “I’ve got a lot on my plate […] We’re not talking about it, but it’s not off the table.”

Although live shows have been few and far between since 2011, Rilo Kiley did reissue their 1999 self-titled debut album in 2020 and made it available on streaming services for the first time.

‘Rilo Kiley’ was the band’s first release, and came out in 1999 on their own label Rilo Records. It was reissued with an extra track in 2000, and then once again as ‘The Initial Friend EP’ with a new tracklisting and cover in 2001.

Original CD copies of all three pressings are something of a rarity among fans, regularly fetching hundreds of dollars when sold online. 2001’s ‘Take-Offs and Landings’ is considered the band’s proper debut LP, the first of four albums that ended with 2007’s ‘Under The Blacklight’.

They split in 2011, followed by the 2013 release of ‘Rkives’, a compilation album of rare and unreleased material that included ‘Initial Friend’ track ‘Frug’.
