(Robinson) — The investigation into the cause and origin of a fatal Saturday afternoon fire continues. According to Robinson Fire Protection District Chief, Riley Pearce, at approximately 12:07 p.m. Saturday, crews responded to a reported fire in the 1600 block of South Pickford. He says that during a search, crews located an “unresponsive adult occupant.” The victim’s name has not been released at this time. Pearce says “fire control” was made within 45 minutes. However, crews remained on scene until 6 p.m. The Oblong Fire Department, LaMotte Township Fire Protection District, United Life Care Ambulance, and the Robinson Police Department provided mutual aid.
