(Oblong) — The Oblong Chamber of Commerce is encouraging the public to enjoy a  “Merry Hometown Christmas.” Oblong Chamber President, Angie Catt, says the public is invited to jump on the Smith Farm train for a tour of lights at Oblong Park.

Catt says the Saddle Club will be offering pony rides and they will have “Highland Cows” at Oblong Park as well. She says Oblong Grade School’s 8th Grade Class will be selling hot cocoa and the Oblong FCCLA will be selling S’more kits at the South Range Mini Park. Stop by the new firehouse to see a reindeer and enjoy a chili fundraiser for the food pantry. The “Merry Hometown Christmas” celebration is set for Friday, December 5th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
