(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded ticked higher over the week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $2.95 per gallon, five cents higher than last Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.04, two cents higher than a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.86 a gallon, unchanged from a week ago. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.29 per gallon, down a penny from last Friday. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.52 a gallon, fifteen cents higher than last Friday.
