National Average Ticks Higher

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has climbed over the last week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $2.95 a gallon, up nine cents from Monday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is once again below the three-dollar mark, at $2.95, four cents lower than at the beginning of the week. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.73 a gallon, seven cents below Monday’s average. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, with a statewide average of $2.26 per gallon, up a penny from Monday. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.57 a gallon, seven cents higher than Monday.
