Data Shows “Off-farm” Income is Becoming a Necessity

(Undated) — In these challenging financial times, “off-farm” income is getting more attention. American Farm Bureau Federation Economist, Danny Munch, says the data clearly shows that more farmers are diversifying their income with “off-farm” sources.
Munch says that this is a move being seen across all farm sizes for a number of different reasons.
He says he believes this trend will continue for the foreseeable future and has become almost a necessity for the modern farm family.
