Gas Prices Tick Higher Nationwide

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has climbed five cents from last Friday. According to GasBuddy.com, the current national average is $3 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has climbed to $3.03 a gallon, eight cents higher than a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $2.83 a gallon, up a dime from a week ago. While Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy the lowest prices nationwide, drivers have seen a fifteen-cent jump from a week ago, hovering around $2.41 a gallon. Drivers in California are paying the highest prices at the pump with a statewide average of $4.62 a gallon, five cents higher than last Friday.
