Gas Prices Surge as Oil Prices Move Above $100 a Barrel

(Undated) — Gas prices continue to surge as the U.S.-Iran conflict continues. Oil is topping a hundred dollars a barrel for the first time since July 2022, driving gas prices higher. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.46 a gallon, a fifty-one-cent jump from last Monday. Here in the Land of Lincoln, the statewide average is $3.49 a gallon, forty-six cents higher than a week ago. Indiana drivers are paying a statewide average of $3.48 a gallon, sixty-nine cents higher than on March 2nd. Oklahoma drivers continue to enjoy prices below the three-dollar-a-gallon mark with a statewide average of $2.95, fifty-three cents higher than a week ago. California drivers are paying an average of $5.13 a gallon, fifty-five cents higher than last Monday.
