Paul Joe Livingston, 88, of Willow Hill, Illinois, passed away at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Helia Healthcare of Newton in Newton, Illinois.
Mr. Livingston was born December 13, 1937, in Grandville Township near Yale, Illinois, the son of Willie M. Livingston and Jessie Marie (O’Dell) Livingston. He married Carolyn Sue Slane on July 1, 1957, in Palestine, Illinois, and together they shared nearly 69 years of marriage.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Livingston of Willow Hill, Illinois; two sons, Rick Livingston and Steven Livingston, both of Casey, Illinois; six grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Parrent, Jamie Livingston, Larry Dean (Laura) Livingston, Justin Livingston, Alisha Curtright, and Stephanie Livingston; fourteen great-grandchildren, Brittney (Cody) Strange, Riley and Trevor Parrent, Jerry and Jacey Stephens, Noah, Cole, and Cade Livingston, Keegan and Casen Livingston, Liam and Luke Curtright, and Jennessa and Brilen Livingston; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Judy Boyd of Willow Hill, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Larry Livingston; three brothers, Roy, Junior, and Bob Livingston; and two sisters, Josephine Smith and Betty Masters.
Paul worked for many years in the Casey oilfields with M&E Oil Company. He was a dedicated worker and took pride in providing for his family. He enjoyed being outdoors along with gardening and mowing his lawn. He also enjoyed searching thrift shops.
A private family inurnment service will be held at a later date in White Oak Cemetery, north of Oblong, Illinois.
Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, Illinois, is assisting the family with arrangements.
