Brad Paisley says Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce threw ‘one of the least pretentious weddings’ ever

Despite hosting roughly 1,000 guests, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kept their wedding refreshingly down-to-earth, according to one country music star.

Brad Paisley praised the couple’s July 3 nuptials as refreshingly humble, calling the event of the decade “one of the least pretentious weddings” he’d ever attended.

“I took this personally when I got the invite, because in the invite, it said, ‘If you’re getting this, you mean a lot to us,’” Paisley told The Associated Press. “And it was really fun to watch the cat-and-mouse game of like, ‘We can tell you roughly where it’s gonna be. We’re not gonna say what building… And here’s the date, and if you’re in, we’ll tell you more.’ And I was like, I went to my wife, I said, ‘Want to go?’ She’s like, ‘Absolutely. We’ve gotta be there.’ So we did it. It was RSVP yes.”

“Ironically, one of the least pretentious weddings I’ve ever seen, or ever will see,” he added. “And so, yeah, it meant a lot to be… It was kind of a big thank you from her to invite us.”

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model Camille Kostek echoed Paisley’s sentiment, recalling a phone-free reception where guests danced for hours alongside fellow celebrities.

“I think we didn’t have phones, and there was no sense of time in there,” Kostek explained to Fox News Digital while attending Sports Illustrated Beyond the Pitch on July 18 alongside top athletes, celebrities and tastemakers during the World Cup. “I think I was probably on the dance floor for five straight hours. Shoes came off. It was so much fun.”

Kostek recalled sharing the dance floor with country star Chris Stapleton and spotting Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts during what she described as a memorable night.

“I didn’t dance next to Taylor, she was up on stage, and I was like dancing from afar with her,” Kostek added.

Swift and Kelce married on July 3 in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden, a representative for the pop star told Fox News Digital. The two opted not to have a traditional wedding party, instead choosing to have Swift’s brother as her “Man of Honor” and Kelce’s brother as his “Best Man.”

The couple prioritized privacy throughout the celebration, taking steps to keep the ceremony and reception out of the public eye. People reported guests were asked to place their phones in individual locked glass boxes upon arrival, with each person receiving a key to access their devices later.

The couple also shielded the event from outside view by covering Madison Square Garden’s windows with drapes. Guests remained inside their vehicles as they drove into an enclosed arrival tent, where they exited their cars before being privately escorted into the venue.

Swift’s representative revealed to Fox News Digital that the couple’s wedding ceremony looks were designed by Jonathan Anderson of Christian Dior Haute Couture. The happy couple both wore white, and the “Life of a Showgirl” singer accessorized with Cartier.
