Gas Prices Slip Lower Over the Last Week

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is lower than a week ago, hovering around $3.11 a gallon, down six cents from last Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.19 a gallon, down five cents from last Friday. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $2.86 a gallon, down eight cents from last Friday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest prices nationwide with an average of $2.64 a gallon, down a penny from Friday’s average. Those in California are paying the highest prices in the nation at $4.76 a gallon, a four-cent decrease from last Friday.
