United Way of Crawford County set to Donate $258,251 in 2025

(Undated) — United Way of Crawford County has announced more than two-hundred fifty-thousand dollars worth of donations to Crawford County agencies and programs in the coming year. Assistant Manager of United Way of Crawford County, Barb Shimer, says United Way supports financial security, education, and health. Shimer says they will donate to Catholic Charities in Teutopolis, the Clothing Center Workshop, Lydia’s Closet, several area food pantries, and NOW Programs in Robinson, Oblong, and Palestine. She says they also support the Scouts, the Boys & Girls Club of Crawford County, LTC Dual Credit for all Crawford County high school students, Redeeming Love Ministries, the Lawrence Crawford Association for Exceptional Citizens, Prevail Illinois (CAISA), the Guardian Center Robinson satellite, the RE-NEW Program, and SWAN. Shimer says that in addition to sponsoring these agencies, a new Harmony Park is being sponsored in the park in Oblong, the Days of Caring will be held this coming summer, and United Way will sponsor 211.
