(Undated) — Governor, JB Pritzker, continues to spread the word about the proposed “community college baccalaureate degree program.” Pritzker was on the campus of Lewis and Clark Community College yesterday, talking up the new program. The community college baccalaureate degree program would allow community colleges to offer four-year bachelor degrees. The program is designed to make degrees more accessible while meeting the needs of employers in key sectors and keeping education costs low for students and working families. In Illinois, the proposed BA degree program applications would be reviewed and approved by the Illinois Community College Board, the Illinois Board of Higher Education, and the accrediting organization associated with the degree type.
