(Undated) — We could be in for another wet and windy day across the area. The National Weather Service has issued a “Wind Advisory.” They warn that south winds of 20 to 25 mph will be common with gusts as high as 50 mph expected. The “Wind Advisory” will remain in effect until 7 p.m. tonight. They remind the public that gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Along with the high winds comes the chance of rain. They say we can expect cloudy skies today with a seventy percent chance of rain. The latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook” says there is an “Enhanced Risk” (level 3 of 5) for severe thunderstorms during the afternoon to early evening today. A few strong tornadoes are possible. In addition, locally damaging wind gusts over 60 mph and isolated large hail are possible.
