By Tony Collins Mar 21, 2025 | 6:39 AM

(Undated) — The National Weather Service says an “elevated fire danger” exists today. They say warm and dry conditions are expected this afternoon, with minimum relative humidity values as low as 25 percent. These conditions, combined with dry fuels such as grasses, leaves, twigs, and pine needles combined with southwesterly winds gusting 35 to 45 mph, will result in elevated fire danger this afternoon. The public is reminded to properly discard cigarettes and matches, closely monitor farm machinery, and avoid open burning.
