(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded remains largely unchanged from a week ago. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.16 a gallon, a penny increase from last Friday. However, here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.44 a gallon, a seven-cent jump from a week ago. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.10 a gallon, a nickel higher than a week ago. Mississippi and Oklahoma are tied for the lowest average at $2.66 a gallon. Meanwhile, California has the highest average at $4.78 a gallon, down two cents from a week ago.
