(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of gas has fallen since Friday. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.08 a gallon, four cents lower than the end of the week. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has also fallen four cents to $3.38 a gallon. Drivers in Indiana are paying an average of $3.06 a gallon, a nickel lower than Friday. Mississippi has the lowest average in the country at $2.60 a gallon, a two-cent decline from Friday. Meanwhile, California has the highest average at $4.83 a gallon, up three cents from Friday.
