Oblong Mayor Asks Residents to Be Considerate

(Oblong) — Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, is reminding village residents to “take a little time and be considerate.” She reminds the public that Crawford County Solid Waste services a small recycling building in the parking lot east of the Oblong Municipal Building. However, week after week, trash or boxes are left outside the building. She says this trash, in turn, brings feral cats or other “critters.” Once the bags are ripped open, the trash is blown or carried into neighboring yards. She asks residents to take a little extra time and keep the area clean of clutter. She says just a little time and consideration are all that’s needed to help keep the Village clean.
