(Springfield) — Governor Pritzker has warned he will veto any state budget that relies on “broad-based” tax increases to address the projected one-billion-dollar deficit. He stated his opposition to any new taxes that would impact working families, specifically rejecting proposals that raise taxes on individuals, corporations, or the sales tax. Additionally, the governor ruled out implementing a sales tax on services.
