(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of gas has jumped six cents since Monday. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is hovering around $3.12 a gallon. Drivers here in the “Land of Lincoln” are paying an average of $3.42 a gallon, up a dime from Monday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying $3.18 a gallon, an eighteen-cent increase from the beginning of the week. Mississippi currently has the lowest prices in the nation at $2.64 a gallon, while California has the highest, at $4.61 a gallon.
