(Robinson) — The Robinson Police Department continues to raise money for the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Robinson Police Chief, Eric Schmidt, says merchandise is still available for purchase, including shirts and hats and can be purchased at RPD from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. T-shirts are $20 and hats for $15. Schmidt says they are also able to accept straight donations. He reminds the public that all proceeds and donations go to benefit the Special Olympics Illinois, and neither the department nor the city receives any monies from this effort. The Torch Run will be held tomorrow beginning at 9 a.m. at Jersey Mike’s.
