(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong is gearing up for a big weekend. The Village of Oblong and the Oblong Chamber of Commerce are putting the finishing touches on this weekend’s ribbon cutting and grand opening of the South Range Street Mini Park. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says the events begin this Saturday morning with a Farmer’s Market from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. She says vendor space is limited but free of charge, so get signed up soon. Beginning at 4 p.m., porkburgers, nachos, and hot dogs will be available. The official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 5 p.m., and the Crawford County Collectibles Cruise-in will also begin at 5 p.m.. Then “Absent Ground” will take the stage and perform from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The public is reminded to bring their lawn chairs and enjoy a great day in Oblong.
