(Undated) – Health experts are reminding the public to stay safe as the first real blast of summer heat is forecast for this weekend. The public is reminded to drink plenty of water, stay in an air-conditioned room when possible, stay out of the sun as much as possible, and check up on relatives and neighbors. The public is also reminded that children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. They say heat stroke is an emergency, and you should call 911.
