(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded continues to climb higher as oil prices increase. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.19 a gallon, seven cents higher than last Friday. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.43 a gallon, a penny higher than a week ago. Indiana drivers are paying an average of $3.13 a gallon, a nickel higher than last Friday. Mississippi currently has the lowest prices in the nation at $2.70 a gallon, six cents higher than the 13th. California has the highest statewide average, at $4.62 a gallon, a penny increase over last week.
