National Average Up a Penny from Last Friday

(Undated) — The current national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is just a penny higher than a week ago. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.20 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average has jumped to $3.51 a gallon, eight cents higher than last Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying an average of $3.29 a gallon, a sixteen-cent jump from a week ago. Mississippi currently has the lowest prices in the nation at $2.72 a gallon, two cents higher than a week ago. California has the highest statewide average, at $4.60 a gallon, down two cents from June 20th.
