Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on Oasishistoric return at Principality Stadium in Cardiff tonight – see what they had to say below.

Earlier tonight, Oasis played their first show back for the gargantuan Live ’25 tour, marking the first time Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher have shared a stage since their acrimonious split in 2009.

The brothers are joined by past members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, along with newcomer Joey Waronker on drums – as exclusively revealed by NME back in March.

After an electric opening with ‘Hello’ and ‘Acquiesce’, Oasis performed a stellar hit-filled collection of songs, from ‘Champagne Supernova’ and ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ to ‘Talk Tonight’ and ‘Fade Away’ – see the full setlist here.

Fans have since shared their reactions on social media, with fans describing the image of the two brothers holding each others hands in the air as “the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen” and “the moment we were all waiting for”.

Another excited fan wrote on X: “LIAM SOUNDS SO FUCKING GOOD!!! OASIS ARE BACK. THIS IS BETTER THAN JESUS’ RETURN!!!”

See more reactions below.

During their set, both brothers took turns poking fun at Ticketmaster’s dynamic ticket pricing system – something they’ve publicly denied knowing anything about.

Elsewhere, Oasis paid tribute to late Liverpool star Diogo Jota, who tragically died in an accident earlier this week at the young age of 28, during a performance of ‘Live Forever’. Their encore saw them close out the show with a powerhouse trio of hits: ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’, ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Champagne Supernova’.

Following tonight’s show in Cardiff, Oasis, Cast and Richard Ashcroft will play a second date in Cardiff tomorrow (Saturday July 5) ahead of five homecoming shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, seven nights at London’s Wembley Stadium, and stops in Edinburgh and Dublin. Later on the Oasis Live ’25 trek, they’ll head to North America, South America, AustraliaSouth Korea and Japan.

Last month saw Liam and Noel appear together in an Adidas Originals advert as part of a new partnership with the brand. They also teamed up with Bohemian FC for a new football shirt to mark their return.
