(Undated) — Tomorrow marks the kick-off of “Amazon Prime Day” and the BBB says Amazon is among the most impersonated retailers.
That was Better Business Bureau Investigator, Don O’Brien. O’Brien says scammers exploit shoppers looking for a deal. He says to be careful about clicking on “unsolicited” links.
Based on the 2024 BBB Scam Tracker Risk Report, online shopping scams made up just over thirty percent of all scams reported to the Better Business Bureau . More than eighty-seven percent of individuals targeted by online purchase scams reported losing money.
