Restaurant chain Prezzo and supermarket Iceland are getting involved in the mania over the Oasis reunion by offering some freebies for fans to celebrate the Britpop icons making a comeback.
One of the offers comes from the restaurant chain Prezzo, which is offering a free portion of lasagne to customers who sing a specific verse from the hit Oasis song ‘Digsy’s Dinner’. Valid between July 4 and September 28 2025, those who sing one specific verse from the song to the server – “What a life it would be/ If you could come to mine for tea/ I’ll pick you up at half past three/ We’ll have lasagna” – will be given one free portion of the Italian dish.
It’s worth noting, though, that terms and conditions apply, as only the first two tables per restaurant, per day, who perform the verse in full will qualify for the freebie; they have to be aged 18 or over, and it is necessary to purchase a drink to participate. Find out more here.
As for Iceland, the supermarket chain is also offering a free lasagne, but this time to anyone who shares the namesake of the two Gallagher brothers behind the iconic band: Noel and Liam.
Valid only between July 11 and 12, residents in Manchester who are named Liam or Noel can head to participating Iceland or The Food Warehouse stores and pick up a free portion of lasagne simply by showing a valid ID at the till.
Participating stores include Old Trafford, Middleton, Prestwich, Clayton, Wythenshawe and more (find the full list and T&Cs here) and, celebrating the offer, Chief Commercial Officer Paul Dhaliwal said: “Anybody fancy some lasagne?
“We know how much fans are looking forward to this reunion, especially in Manchester, so we thought it was only right to celebrate by treating all the Mancunian Liam and Noels to Liam’s favourite dish, back where it all began.”
The news of the new lasagne-based deals from Prezzo and Iceland comes just days after Lidl announced that it was getting involved in the Oasis mania – launching a special Oasis jacket ahead of the band’s UK tour, which kicked off in Cardiff last Friday (July 4).
With a bright blue and yellow design, the limited edition ‘Lidl By Lidl’ coat is named after the band’s 2002 ‘Heathen Chemistry’ single ‘Little By Little’, and features “drink-cooling pockets, a bottle opener for a zipper, a ‘Lidl By Lidl’ badge and an accompanying tambourine”.
It was announced after Liam Gallagher wore a Berghaus jacket which fans joked were similar to Lidl’s colours when he launched the brand’s ‘ICONS’ campaign last year.
So far, Oasis have played two shows of their long-awaited tour, taking place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday (July 4 and 5).
At the first of the 41 comeback shows, NME gave the historic night the full five stars. “After a ‘90s heyday and an often maligned post-millennium era, this is Oasis redesigned for the 21st Century,” the review read.
“Playing before a pop-art-meets-psychedelia visual spectacular that never distracts but will look sick on a phone, they seem the quintessential stadium band playing the greatest hits of greatest hits.”
The Britpop icons will now play five homecoming shows at Manchester’s Heaton Park, followed by seven nights at London’s Wembley Stadium and stops in both Edinburgh and Dublin. Later on the Oasis Live ’25 trek, they’ll head to North America, South America, Australia, South Korea and Japan.
