(Robinson) – “National Night Out” is coming up next month and as in years past, the Robinson Police Department will be hosting an event. Robinson Police Chief, Eric Schmidt, says the RPD is excited to once again be hosting “National Night Out.” The public is invited to bring their kids out to see and interact with not just the police, but all emergency services personnel, check out the vehicles and equipment of area first responders, and enjoy free hot dogs and drinks. Schmidt says there will be free music, bounce houses, an Air Evac Helicopter landing, weather permitting, and the K-9 team will conduct a demonstration. “National Night Out” is a community-building event and will be held on August 5th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Robinson City Park.
