(Vincennes, IN) — The annual Red Skelton Comedy Convention begins today in Vincennes, Indiana. As in previous years, Red Skelton’s widow, Lothian Skelton, is in Vincennes as part of the festivities, which include activities around the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy. Director of the Red Skelton Museum, Anne Pratt, says this year’s convention theme centers around the former CBS rural comedy “Green Acres”. Pratt says after the talks end, the entertainment begins Saturday evening. Organizers say tomorrow’s activities start with the Red Skelton Parade across downtown Vincennes, with activities then moving to the Red Skelton complex at Vincennes University.
