Relief From the Heat Could Arrive This Week

According to the National Weather Service, a few thunderstorms may bring gusty winds and heavy rain to parts of the area into this evening. Some of these storms could be strong to severe, with the main hazards being damaging wind gusts and heavy rain. The good news is that the front will help to “ease the heat.” Daytime highs for Friday and Saturday are expected to be in the upper seventies to low eighties. Those “cooler temperatures” are forecast through the weekend.
