(Undated) — Crawford County is receiving “Block Grant” money from the State of Illinois. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency announced nearly a million dollars in grant funding has been awarded to four “grantees” through the Illinois Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. According to the Illinois EPA, this Illinois program supports municipalities and counties with the development of strategic energy or climate action plans, as well as energy efficiency audits and publicly owned building upgrades. Crawford County has been awarded two hundred forty-eight thousand seven hundred fifty dollars.
