Oblong Ameren Customers Reminded About Electric Bill Change

(Oblong) – Oblong Ameren customers may have noticed an increase in their electric bills. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says as a part of Oblong’s Electric Aggregation Program all village residents have been automatically enrolled in the Village aggregate price with Constellation NewEnergy Inc. Fielder says this is how the aggregate program is set up and the Village of Oblong has zero control over the automatic inclusion process. However, she says customers have the flexibility to opt out of the program at any time by simply contacting Ameren and letting them know they wish to “opt out.”
