(Oblong) — The Oblong Village Board meets this afternoon. They are set to get an update on the Oblong Chamber from Angie Catt, adopt an ordinance “Implementing a Municipal Grocery Retailers’ Occupation Tax and a Municipal Grocery Service Occupation Tax,” adopt a resolution committing local funds for the “Safe Route to School Project/Grant,” and the Park Meadows loan renewal. In other business, the Village Board will also discuss and approve Revolving Loan Renewal criteria and applications and a possible Utility Lien/Small Claims at 510 South Adams. The Oblong Village Board meets this afternoon at 5 p.m. in the Farley Room of the Municipal Building. There will be a Public Hearing at 4 p.m. to discuss the Safe Route to School Program through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
