Gas Prices Slip Lower Over the Weekend

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is six cents lower today than it was on Friday. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.16 a gallon. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.44 a gallon, down five cents from the end of last week. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.16 per gallon, seven cents lower than a week ago. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average of $2.68 a gallon, four cents lower than Friday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.57 a gallon, down four cents from last Friday.
