(Robinson) — The Robinson Soccer Team was shutout by Newton yesterday with a final 0f 3-0. Head Coach, Hillary Maxwell, says the Maroons did very well holding their own against Newton. She says they came out strong in the first 20 minutes but couldn’t keep the fast pace. Maxwell says Felix Reynolds had a standout game as goalkeeper. Zoe Tuttle and Owyn Steele were on point again, holding down through passes and fast breaks in the center of the box. She says overall, the Maroons need to keep working on “first touches and passes.” Small errors add up against a high-energy team like Newton. With the loss the Maroons fell to 2-5. They will be back in action tomorrow for a road game at Massac County.
