National Average Gas Price Lower Than a Week Ago

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has fallen over the last week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.18 a gallon, down four cents from last Friday. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.48 a gallon, down a penny from the end of last week. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.22 per gallon, a penny lower than a week ago. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average $2.70 a gallon, two cents lower than last Friday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.63 a gallon, up three cents from last Friday.
