Republic “Fall Clean-up” in Oblong Set for Next Week

(Oblong) — The Village of Oblong is reminding residents that “Fall Cleanup” continues next week. Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, says on Tuesday, September 23rd, Republic Services will hold its Fall Cleanup in the Village. This service is open to paid up Republic customers inside the village limits. Fielder says furniture and toys are accepted. Mattresses are accepted but must be wrapped in plastic and taped or in a mattress cover. Carpet is accepted but must be cut in four-foot sections and tied or taped. Republic will not accept electronics, construction materials, appliances, tires, yard waste, car parts, pianos, vehicle batteries, or propane tanks. She also says anything placed in paper bags or deteriorated cardboard boxes will not be picked up. Robinson will hold “Fall Clean Up” in October. The City’s yard waste Fall Clean-up will be the week of October 20th, and the Republic Fall Clean-up will be the week of October 27th.
