Gas Prices Slip Lower

(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is hovering around $3.15 a gallon. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the average is six cents lower than Friday’s. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.35 a gallon, down six cents from the end of last week. Effingham County is sporting some of the lowest prices in the state at $2.83 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.03 per gallon, five cents lower than a week ago. Vigo County drivers are paying the lowest prices in Indiana at $2.88 a gallon. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average $2.66 a gallon, three cents lower than Friday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.62 a gallon, down three cents from last Friday.
