(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded has fallen over the last week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.15 a gallon, down six cents from last Friday. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.41 a gallon, unchanged from a week ago. Drivers in Effingham County continue to pay some of the lowest prices in the state at $2.81 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.18 per gallon, a ten-cent increase from a week ago. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average $2.64 a gallon, a nickel lower than last Friday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.64 a gallon, down a penny from last Friday.
