(Undated) — The current forecast is calling for sunshine with highs in the 80s. However, winter will be here before we know it. Illinois State Climatologist, Trent Ford, says that while they don’t have an official forecast for the winter, it is currently looking to be dominated by La Niña.
Ford says La Niña means equal chances of above and below normal temperatures as well as above normal precipitation for winter.
