(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded fell over the weekend. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.09 a gallon, down six cents from Friday. Here in Illinois, drivers are paying an average of $3.37 a gallon, four cents lower than on Friday. Drivers in Effingham County continue to pay some of the lowest prices in the state at $2.82 a gallon. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $3.11 per gallon, a seven-cent decline from Friday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest statewide average $2.64 a gallon, unchanged from Friday. California drivers are paying the highest at $4.62 a gallon, down two cents from Friday.
