CCHD Offers Help for Those Trying to Stop Smoking

(Undated) – Quitting nicotine is challenging, and slipups are a part of the process. The Crawford County Health Department reminds you that they offer several resources to help. They say the Illinois Tobacco Quitline offers up to 8 weeks of resources for free to eligible individuals, as well as guidance from certified tobacco treatment specialists. They say the Quitline allows you access to trained counselors who will guide you through several techniques for quitting and also help you get nicotine replacement items, such as patches, gum, or lozenges.
