(Undated) — The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department has fired Deputy, Ian Kasemeyer,. In a statement released yesterday, the CCSD announced that Kasemeyer has been terminated following an “open internal investigation” into conduct that violated departmental policy. The termination is effective immediately. Authorities say the department launched an internal investigation after allegations of “inappropriate conduct” came to light on October 5th via a social media post. The investigation determined the deputy’s actions violated the department’s professional standards and polices. In the statement from the department, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says it is committed to upholding the “highest standards of professional conduct” for all personnel, both on and off duty. The statement went on to say, the actions of this individual do not reflect the values of the office or the expectations of the community. The sheriff’s office is committed to upholding the public’s trust and maintaining accountability within its ranks. Kasemeyer was put on administrative leave during the investigation.
