Several Illinois Counties Paying Below $3 a Gallon for Gas

(Undated) — The statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded continues to fall. Several counties are paying averages of less than three dollars a gallon. According to GasBuddy.com, Effingham County has some of the lowest prices statewide at $2.64 a gallon. Drivers in Jasper County are paying an average of $3.00 per gallon, while Richland County drivers are paying $2.85 per gallon, and Clark County has an average of $3.12 per gallon. Here in Crawford County, GasBuddy lists the average as $3.21 a gallon. Prices in Knox County, Indiana, are hovering around $2.99 a gallon, Sullivan County drivers are paying an average of $2.87 a gallon, and they’re $3.01 in Gibson County.
