(Oblong) — The Oblong Chamber is issuing a scam warning. According to the Chamber, people are receiving messages from unknown parties attempting to get them to pay a vendor fee for the Fall Follies vendor spaces. Chamber President, Angie Catt, reminds the public to never send money to anyone for Oblong Fall Follies vendor spaces via Venmo, PayPal, Chime, or any other app. Catt says the Oblong Chamber only accepts cash or checks to try to eliminate any of these scammers from getting your hard-earned money. She says they have reported this and hope we can stop anyone from getting scammed by these people. Those interested in a vendor spot are reminded that the only way to sign up as a vendor is by printing the form available on the Chamber Facebook page.
