(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is seven cents higher than a week ago. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.11 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.30 a gallon, nine cents higher than last Friday. Across the Wabash in Indiana, drivers are paying $3.09 a gallon, fifteen cents higher than a week ago. Oklahoma and Louisiana are tied as the “low price leaders” nationwide with drivers paying a statewide average of $2.56 a gallon, a penny higher than last Friday. Drivers in California are paying the highest at $4.70 a gallon, eight cents higher than Halloween.
